Understand The Cycle Of Hair Growth First

Hair grows in recurring cycles, with each cycle composed of three phases - anagen, catagen and telogen. The anagen phase is also referred to as the growth phase. About 85 to 90% of all the hairs in our heads are in this phase at one time. This part of the growth cycle lasts from 2 to 6 years and can continue for up to 8 years.
Once the hair reaches its maximum length in the anagen phase, the catagen phase of the growth cycle begins. This is a short phase, lasting only about 1 to 2 weeks. The catagen phase is also referred to as the transitional phase, when the cycle reaches the regressive stage and hair growth slows down. The follicle shrinks in size and the base begins to break down.
The telogen phase of the growth cycle is also known as the resting phase, when growth stops completely. This is the part where the follicle becomes degraded. This cycle lasts for about 6 weeks. Some hair may fall out but some stay in the follicle. Near the end of the telogen phase, new hair begins to form and grow. If the old hair is still attached, it is forced out and falls off the head. About 10% of our hair are in the telogen phase.
Hair growth cycle and hair loss
To understand hair loss, it is important that we know the nature of the cycle of hair growth. It is normal for people to lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. When this happens, you are probably in the telogen phase. You'll probably find these lost strands in your brush, comb or on your shower floor. This is normal and there is no need to worry because they will be replaced by new growth.
It is only when you're losing more and are noticing rapid thinning that you should be concerned. These are signs that your hair growth is not fast enough to replace lost strands and there is a possibility that your normal hair cycle has been disrupted.
Hair grows from the follicles which are found in the top layer (epidermis) of the skin. It is made of keratin, a form of protein, the same component of the epidermis, fingernails and toe nails. At the base of the follicles, a papilla is found, which is made of blood vessels and nerves. These ensure that the growth cycle runs uninterrupted.
Factors that can affect hair growth
Barring any obstacle, the hair growth cycle will continue unabated. It is only when some factors are applied that the cycle is disrupted or stopped. These factors can lead to temporary hair loss. Or if not, they can cause alopecia, which is more permanent. These can include hormones, nutritional deficiencies, diseases of the thyroid gland, chemotherapy and radiation. The cycle may also be affected by skin diseases of the scalp, trauma or stress.
Certain drugs can also disrupt normal growth, including anti-depressants, hypertension drugs, retinoids and birth control pills. The birth of a baby may also contribute to hair loss, along with diseases such as lupus, diabetes and HIV/AIDS. Men and women with eating disorders or undergoing severe dieting are also susceptible to this condition.
It is interesting to note that hair growth is not indicated in the human embryo in its initial stages. Hair growth only becomes apparent when hair follicles begin to appear in the early stages of the embryo's development, before it assumes a human form in the mother's womb. Evidence of hair growth begins to appear when the fetus is approximately 9 weeks old. By 9 months, the human fetus already has every hair follicle he/she will ever have.

first of all stop using all the creams....dont use any cream.Some creams can damage more than the pimples causing problem to ur skin...So clean your face wid cold water for every 30 mins to 1hr...

use a soft cloth or tissue to clean the skin

Never touch ur face wid hands/fingers

only use a tissue...

reduce consumption of oily food...

Apply a sun screen lotion wid pf>1 b4 sleep and after u take bath in d morning...

Dont use any medical creams wid out d prescription frm doctor/beautician...

keep doin these regularly..In course of time...u 'll get a better skin and Trust me you can get the best if u can follow all these tips....

First of all please tell me what is your skin type...

I suppose it is oily skin,.... You have to care a lot about your skin....

If its dry skin....Use some oily soaps like DOVE...after you take bath ...take some Eucalyptus oil which u find in the market and massage gently with that on your skin....

And coming to the skin cream ...Products from NIVEA are really good for men..that can help you a lot....

Remedy For Oily Hair

Oily hair can be a pain and is a common complaint among persons who have acne problems. Oily hair is difficult to manage, can be limp, and hard to style. A common misconception about oily hair is that it is caused by an oily scalp. The exact opposite is usually true. A dry scalp causes the oil glands in the scalp to produce more oil, and once on the scalp, this excess oil transfers to the hair itself. Therefore, to treat oily hair, one of the best things to do is focus on the dry scalp. Some people produce a lot more oil than others. There is nothing you can do about it other than frequent and regular shampooing with a mild shampoo. The best time to shampoo your hair is first thing in the morning. This way your hair is fresh all day. Many persons mistakenly think that hair shampoo is to wash the hair and not the scalp. Actually, shampoo is designed to clean the scalp and beautify the hair. Thus, the first recommendation is to shampoo the scalp. Women with long hair should apply the shampoo to the scalp without piling the hair on top, and use their fingers to vigorously massage the scalp.

Natural hair oil can change your hair's appearance and behavior. The key to controlling oily hair is to remove the sebum adequately from the scalp. Shampoo selection is another important consideration. There are many remedies for oily hair to manage oily hair. Do not wash your hair everyday. Use a cleaning shampoo to wash your hair and to scrub off the oil build up. Use a mild shampoo and scrub lightly. While applying conditioner, do not apply to the roots only apply in the middle or to the ends. Reduce the oil intake in your diet. Avoid oily food. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid drugs, alcohol and oils. Use a mild shampoo, shampoo for oily hair, shampoo for dry scalp, or a baby shampoo. Wash oily hair daily, but concentrate the shampoo on the hair away from the scalp to remove the excess oil from the hair. One teaspoon of apple cider kitchen vinegar added to a pint of water makes an excellent finishing rinse that adds shine and luster to your hair while removing soap residue that can weigh down oily hair.

Oily hair can be due to a hormonal imbalance; a diet too hygiene fatty foods; washing too often; or sometimes because the scalp has larger oil glands than normal. Take some dry soap nuts (reetha) and soak them in water overnight. Mash them in the morning and strain the soapy solution. Add a teaspoon of shikakai powder and wash your hair. Use a hot oil treatment directly on the scalp itself, gently massaging the oil into the scalp and then rinsing the oily hair thoroughly afterward. If hair is very oily, do not use conditioner at all, or use conditioner only on the tips or ends of the hair. Oily hair is likely shiny enough, so avoid using hair gloss gel or shine hair care products on oily hair. Another good home remedy is to mix a tablespoon of malt vinegar in a glass of water and add a pinch of salt. Then put two tablespoons on your scalp and massage it with your fingertips. Do not use detergent shampoos. Do not use oils unless the cleansing routine leaves your hair extremely dry. Regularly massage your scalp. Boil two handful of mint leaves in one and a half glass of water for 20 minutes. Strain the solution and mix in a 300ml bottle of shampoo.

Oily Hair Home Remedies Tips

8. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair.

9. Do not use detergent shampoos.

10. Do not use oils unless the cleansing routine leaves your hair extremely dry.

11. Regularly massage your scalp.

hello vicky....This is the most common question I hear now a days...As you said you have the problem of acne ,you didnt mention how many years/months you are experiencing it and more over you didnt mention to what extent you consider it has damaged your skin....Before I reply ,Be very happy that Acne damaged skin can be very much reversible and no problem to worry about that .And coming to oily skin....Be very happy that your skin wont get wrinkles so soon...You have to care your oily skin a lot...Just wat you gotta do is..just keep some face tissues in your pocket and clean your face every 5 minutes...before you go out use sun screen lotion of having PF 15 ...read all the topics about acne and oily skin ....I bet u'll surely find a solution...

And comin to hair...I am sure you have dandruff....that too oil dandruff...you can't see any dandruff flakes in ur head but it makes your head so much oily and thereby blocking your hair roots from getting nutrition thus finally making hair fall...

What I advice is take head bath daily wid a low chem based shampoo ...Dont use helmet for some days..Atleast try to take it out once in a while you drive ..I mean just take out for a minute and continue...this may sound different..But thats alll u can do if u want to reduce hair fall....

There is no dearth of skin care creams and lotions in the market. Name an ailment, and you will find hundreds of skin care creams, lotions and other products for it. As a result of ongoing research and due to ever increasing demand, the number of skin care products seems to be on the increase. Skin care lotions and skin care creams are the most popular forms in which these products are available, and there always seems to be a debate on which form is better?

Well, there is no definitive answer to this. It seems more like a matter of personal choice. However, greasy creams are surely less popular as compared to the non-greasy (or less greasy) ones. Since the application of skin care creams is easier, they seem to be preferred (over lotions) in cases where the skin care product is not to be removed immediately after application. So, skin care creams seem more popular as moisturisers than as cleansers or toners. For toners, lotions seem to be preferred over skin care creams. There are some skin care creams that acts as toners too, but generally the toners are available in liquid form only. For cleansing, lotions and skin care creams are equally popular; however, the tilt seems more towards lotions.

Creams are known to be most effective in keeping skin moist; hence, the most popular form of skin care creams is moisturisers. Due to the same reason, a lot of people tend to associate skin care creams with dry and sensitive skin. Though it is true to a certain extent, skin care creams are not used only for dry skin, they are also used for making products for oily skin e.g. vitamin A creams and sulphur creams that help reduce the rate of sebum production.

Skin care creams are also used for products that cater to skin disorders especially for disorders that require the application of product over a small localised area. This is again due to the fact that skin care creams are easier to apply (without wastage) on the affected area. However, in cases where skin needs to be washed using a medicine/product, lotion is a better choice. Mostly, the manufacturers too realize this fact, making it easier for you to choose between a lotion and a skin care cream

Everyday, a typical adult uses many type of cosmetics or personal-care products. Inhibiting your skin in this way will slow down the functioning of your skin. It will also inhibit the normal development of cells. With this in mind, you should be able to clearly see that the use of mineral oil will cause your skin to age prematurely.

2. Formaldehyde. This ingredient is something that is widely used in soaps, nail hardeners, lipsticks, body lotions and shampoos. It acts as a germicide, preservative and fungicide. Since it is also a powerful carcinogenic and mutagenic, which can damage and prevent your body from repairing its DNA. This chemical has been banned in both Sweden and Japan.

3. Petrolatum. Petrolatum is commonly known as mineral oil jelly. It is a petroleum derivative that is commonly used in lip balms. This chemical clogs skin from taking in oxygen and releasing toxins, which can cause you to have acne. Some of the other things that can happen whenever you use petrolatum is sensitivity to the sun and chapping.

4. Synthetic fragrances. If you like to smell good with many sprays of perfume, you probably do not realize that perfume can contain hundreds of chemicals which can enter your body. Perfumes are toxins and they can cause headaches, rashes, coughing, dizziness, vomiting and skin irritations. The hydrocarbons that are found in these fragrances oftentimes contain formaldehyde, styrene, toluene and phenol. 5. Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Parabens. These are all used as preservatives in order to extend the shelf lives of many personal care products. They can also increase your risk to developing cancer because these chemicals also contain highly toxic formaldehyde-releasing ingredients that are carcinogenic.

6. Propylene Glycol. Propylene glycol is a chemical that is derived from petroleum. It is used as a humectant, which is a chemical that will keep products moist. However, it also breaks down protein and cellular structure. This chemical is used in a lot of antiperspirants, suntan lotions, lipsticks and hair care products. Workers who make these products that contain propylene glycol are required to wear protective gloves, clothing and goggles. In the United States this chemical is listed as a skin and eye irritant. It is also considered to be a possible carcinogen because it is known to cause both liver and kidney damage.

7. Retinyl Palmitate. This is a topical form of Vitamin A. In Canada this product is listed as a toxin.

8. Sodium Lauryl (Laureth) Sulfate. This is often referred to as SLS or SLES. SLS was originally used as an industrial garage floor cleaner. However, it can now be found in several inexpensive shampoos, toothpastes, bubble baths and lotions. You may not be aware that SLS is irritating, causes skin irritations, itchiness, cracking, dandruff and infections in children who use bubble bath with this in it. Even animals have been damaged by SLS. Whenever this is mixed with other common chemicals that are found in cosmetics it will create nitrates in your body before it ultimately produces carcinogens.

9. Polyethylene Glycol. Polyethylene Glycol is often shortened to PEG. It is used to dissolve oil and grease. While this chemical is normally found in spray-on oven cleaners, you should also know that it can also be found in many hair care and skin care products. In personal care products, it is also used as a thickener. However, when this chemical reaches your skin, they strip the natural moisture from your skin, leaving your skin and your immune system vulnerable. It is also possible that PEG can cause cancer.

10. DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine) and TEA (Triethanolamine). You will find these chemicals in bubble baths, shampoos, soaps and facial cleansers. Unfortunately, your skin can easily absorb these chemicals. They are essentially hormone-disrupting chemicals that can also form cancer agents. You should know that research has been conducted that indicates that there is a strong link to both liver and kidney cancer.

11. Imidazolidinyl Urea ( IU) and Diazolidinyl Urea (DU). These are very common chemicals that are found in cosmetic preservatives. They are also found in baby shampoos, lotions and creams. These chemicals are known to cause eczema symptoms, dermatitis, joint pain, allergies, depression, headaches, chest pain, ear infections, chronic fatigue, dizziness, loss of sleep, weakening of the immune system and cancer.

12. Isopropyl Alcohol. It is derived from petroleum. It is used in antifreeze and shellac. It is also used in hair color rinses, body rubs, hand lotion and aftershave lotions. The side effects from using these personal care products include headache, dizziness, depression, nausea, vomiting and in some cases you could also go into a coma. When isopropyl alcohol penetrates your skin, it can destroy your intestinal flora, thus leaving the major organs in your body open to parasites and cancers.

Manufacturers of personal care products say that the synthetic ingredients are in safe proportions and therefore can hardly cause any harm or impact. Also, it is hard to prove that eczema or other allergic symptoms stem from the absorption of these ingredients. Some researchers believe otherwise. They argue that low exposure over a period of time can cause a toxic build up that can eventually produce side effects. They argue that cancer or a reaction does not develop overnight.

Of course, the above list is by no means exhaustive. There are other chemicals contained in personal care products that you may be sensitive to. Skin Boils

What are skin boils?

Boils, or skin abscesses, are localized infections deep in the skin. The center of the boil becomes filled with white blood cells, bacteria, and proteins known as “pus.” Different causes of skin boils create different types of boils.

There are four main kinds of boils:

Furuncle or carbuncle. This type of skin abscess is caused by a bacterium called Staphylococcus aurus. It is often accompanied by fever or chills.

Cystic acne. This type of boil occurs when oils ducts become clogged and infected. It is most common on the face. It is particularly common in adolescents.

Hidradenitis suppurativa. With this condition, multiple skin boils form in the armpits or groin due to infected sweat glands. Antibiotics are usually not effective and a surgical procedure to remove the sweat glands is usually required.

Pilonidal cysts. These skin boils usually form in the crease of the buttocks. They begin as tiny infections of the hair follicles. The irritation from the direct pressure of sitting causes the inflammation to grow. These boils often form after long trips when one has been sitting for prolonged periods of time.

There are other kinds of skin boils, but these are the most common types.

Causes of skin boils

Common causes of skin boils include bacteria that can enter the skin if a foreign object such as a splinter becomes lodged in the skin, ingrown hairs, clogged hair follicles, clogged oil ducts, and clogged sweat glands.

Prevention

Skin boils can often be prevented. If you get a splinter of other foreign objected under your skin, remove it with tweezers. If you cannot grasp the object with tweezers, try gently squeezing the skin and pushing the object toward the surface of the skin. If you are unable to remove the object, see a doctor. Do not leave the foreign object under your skin, as you will likely develop an infection.

If you have ingrown hairs, try applying hot, moist compresses to the area. Then use tweezers and try to gently free the hair from the skin. Be careful not to break the skin, however. Don’t worry if you are unable to free the hair; most ingrown hairs will heal on their own.

To prevent cystic acne, wash the face twice a day with mild soap and water. If you are prone to acne, use a gentle cleanser designed to prevent acne. Wear minimal makeup, as cosmetics can clog the oil ducts and lead to acne and boils.

Boil Treatment

Skin boils can often be treated at home with hot soaks or hot packs. Boil treatment should begin as soon as the boil is formed for best results. Heat application increases circulation and brings antibodies and white blood cells (which help fight infection) to the surface of the skin.

Sometimes the appropriate boil treatment depends upon the cause of skin boils. Boils caused by an infection are often treated with antibiotics. In other cases, a doctor will have to surgically open the boil to drain the pus. If this is the case, make sure to follow the doctor’s instructions about how to care for the site afterward in order to prevent further infection. Don’t try to squeeze or poke boils to drain them on your own. That can cause the infection to spread and worsen.

As mentioned earlier, hidradenitis suppurativa boils do not always respond to antibiotics and sometimes sweat glands must be surgically removed.

These people are most likely to be susceptible to a breakout occurring. The sebaceous glands react to the testosterone,causing the excretion of the oily substances,which in turn leads to the breakout's occurring or at least the person is much more prone to developing an attack of spots.

People prone to breakouts and sudden appearance of the dreaded colored domes may want to learn a little more about hormone and how it is created. The testosterone triggers those sebaceous glands to give out or produce to much sedum. To make the situation worse,the dead skin cells lining the openings of the hair follicles are not shed properly and lead to the clogging of hair follicles. The hair follicles are the tubes that hold the hair in the normal fashion. These both conspire to cause a build up of the oily substance in the hair follicle. The result is blockheads and the various other indicators common to an attack.

Acne

Acne is the most common skin disorder and is usually found on teenagers. It is normal for adults to have acne at some point in their lives. The most common form of acne is known as "acne vulgaris", meaning "common acne."

This is the type of acne teenagers get and we know it as pimples or zits. They are also referred to as blackheads or whiteheads.

Pimples are found mainly on the face, shoulders, back, chest and upper arms. This is the specific part of the body that is troublesome and it is called the "T" zone. Pimples are infections that grow when whiteheads split the follicle wall.

After the split, solidified sebum, dead cells, and bacteria enter the skin. The red blemishes on the face, chest and back are caused by the aforementioned dead cells and bacteria that invade your skin layers.

Acne is thought to be caused by one or more of these things.

- Hormonal activity, such as menstrual cycles and puberty
- Stress, through increased output of hormones from the adrenal (stress) glands.
- Hyperactive sebaceous glands, secondary to the three hormone sources above.
- Accumulation of dead skin cells.
- Bacteria in the pores, to which the body becomes 'allergic'.
- Skin irritation or scratching of any sort will activate inflammation.
- Use of anabolic steroids.
- Any medication containing halogens (iodides, chlorides, bromides), lithium, barbiturates, or androgens.
- Exposure to high levels of chlorine compound can cause severe, long-lasting acne, known as Chloracne.

It's pretty hard to be fit over 40, isn't it?

Or is it?

Well, have you heard about Kelly Nelson or Morjorie Newlin...two body building grandmas?

Read on and learn about Kelly and Morjorie and what each chose to do with "the rest of her life".

People will give you all kinds of reasons for being out of shape, not exercising, or both. Sometimes it's, "I don't have the time" or "I don't feel like it" or "That's just a waste of time". Sometimes these are real sentiments and beliefs, but, upon occasion, they are masks for, "I'm too old to get fit".

Kelly Nelson began weight lifting in 1980, or more specifically, training with weights, at age 53. Up until that point in her life, there had been nothing athletic about her existence. Her mission was simple. She thought the backs of her arms needed some work.

As she found out, they needed a "workout".

She began working out on her own at home, and, when she saw what weight lifting, or more properly, "weight training", could do for the backs of her arms, which she was surprised to learn were called "triceps", she figured maybe this weight lifting stuff could work for the rest of her.

So, this 53 year old non-athlete, began a regular exercise program.

About 6 months later, she convinced her daughter, Colleen Fisher, who is about 30 years younger, to begin training with her, and eventually Colleen began winning body building competitions.

In 1983, after 3 years of training, and never having trained in a real gym, Kelly competed in her first body building competition. She won that competition and never looked back. She has been competing, and training, since.

Is it possible that this body building grandma may be the oldest female body builder around? We will see.

Both mother and daughter have accepting the lifestyle of body building and weight training as the way they wish to live. That may be a bit much for some people, but they certainly serve as role models for what the over-40 crowd can do. At one time, Kelly regularly rode a bicycle to and from the gym where she trained, 10 miles each way, proving again that fitness after 50 is not an impossible dream.

Kelly Nelson has been quoted as saying, "Aging is a disease- and I don't have it. Nor do I intend to get it!" If the photos taken of her in her late 70's wearing a bikini and flexin' up a storm are any indication, she hasn't gotten it yet.

Kelly Nelson, the 77 year old body building grandma, has come a long way since beginning the fitness lifestyle while a housewife in the 80's. Since then she has won numerous body building championships and now, with her daughter, markets her own line of fitness training videos.

As my wife and daughters like to say, "You go, girl!"

I haven't had a chance yet to tell you about 86 year old Morjorie Newlin, and her numerous awards from her thirteen years of body building competitions. Did I say Kelly Nelson was still competing in her 70's? Well, Morjorie Newlin BEGAN TRAINING at age 72.

What got her upset enough to begin a body building career that has taken her to competitions in Italy, France, and Germany and helped her furnish a room with her awards? She could no longer lift the 50 pound bags of kitty litter she needed to take care of her cat! Two years later, she won her first body building competition.

Now, let's see. At age 53, Kelly Nelson began weight lifting because she didn't like the looks of the backs of her arms. At age 72, Morjorie Newlin decided she wanted to be independent enough to take care of her cat. From such simple starts, each body building grandma gained fame and recognition for deciding that is IS possible to do what most people feel is impossible for them.

They have also proven that women in their 70's and 80's CAN look HOT in a string bikini. How's that for busting up a stereotype?

Even more, they proved that age does not always have the last word on how a person shall live that portion of their lives that has been called the "golden years".

Or, as Morjorie put it, "I want to be as independent as I can be, for as long as I can,"

Looks like if her 80's are an example, her 90's are really going to be fun!

Acne and Acne Scars

There are different types of acne, and each can leave different types of scars, defined by tissue response to inflammation. They are scars caused by tissue formation, and scars caused by loss of tissue. The most common type is Acne Vulgaris which is also known as Acne Simplex. Other types of Acne include Acne Cosmetica, Acne Excriee, Cystic Acne and Occupational Acne.

Acne vulgaris is an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots, plukes or zits. This type of acne is common in youth, appearing from those range from 12 to 20 years olds and lasting from 5 to 10 years if untreated.

Acne cosmetica refers to acne caused by the use of cosmetics. The mechanism was presumably a chemically induced plugging of the pilosebaceous orifice. This was a significant problem for dermatologists, but with the improved formulations produced by cosmetic chemists over the past thirty years, this is now a relatively rare.

Acne Excoriee is usually found in young girls, beginning in adolescence years. Girls may find pimples and start scratching at it viciously. The skin got damaged by the fingernails and is not able to heal due to the persistent scratching, which leaves a broad, shallow scars.

Cystic acne is one of the most severe forms of acne. Nodules form under the skin, then later harden into painful cysts. This type of acne requires medical attention, and usually persists for long period of times, often weeks or even months.

Occupational acne is a localized form of acne caused by the exposure of the skin to chemicals and irritant substances found in the workplace. Occupational acne has fallen in recent years due to better Health and Safety legislations and improved industrial working practices.

Understanding the key aspects of what acne is and their causes, will place acne sufferers to more complex issues relating to acne care and to make important decisions about acne treatments.

Laser Acne Treatment - Acne Treatments - Treatments for Acne What You Need to Know

The resurfacing of the skin has become widely popular since the ungodly feeling of dermabrasion is also used as an alternative. Some lasers have also made significant results against the fight against acne also. The laser treatments only works by stimulating the growth of the collagen beneath the scarred tissue. There are simply two main types of a laser and laser treatment.

Ablative lasers and treatment

Ablative is the stronger of the two lasers that will successfully remove the outer layer of the skin that will hopefully remove any scarred skin tissue and successfully help the collagen to grow. Although, further scarring of the skin tissue is very likely and there is still the risk of an infection of the wounds. This type of laser treatment is more popular due to a lower risk.

Non ablative lasers and treatments

The non ablative laser will target the collagen far beneath the skin tissue to promote collagen growth without continuing to damage the surface of the skin. These types of lasers are highly effective for far less severe scarring. The three types of non ablative lasers are infrared lasers, N-Lite lasers and sprinkling lasers.

Infrared lasers are great for scar removal and are good for mostly all skin types since the skins pigment is hardly absorbed by the the skins pigment, melanin. Light heats the collagen to successfully promote tightening of the skin tissue while the skin is actively cooled to avoid any damage.

The N-lite laser is another non-ablative laser treatment method that is used to continue and trigger collagen growth. The side effects of this laser treatment are only short term unlike isotretinoin or any long term medications or prescription treatments.

The N-Lite laser has also been used as a find line and wrinkle removal solution.

The Sprinkling laser treatment method is one of the most recent of the laser treatments. This method has a similar goal of producing collagen and the sprinkling laser shoots a small cluster of beams burning in dot like patterns. Then the growing collagen will in turn fill the spaces between the dots.

The skin will successfully heal a lot quicker and has a lesser chance of injury.

Acne is a skin disorder believed to affect more than 85% of the population. While there is no definite answer as to why we get acne many experts say it is due to hormones, diet, and stress. Today we are not just seeing acne in young pubescent individuals but in adults as well.

Acne is generally divided into four different groups.

Type 1 consists mainly of comedones with an occasional small inflamed papule but without scarring. A comedone is defined as a plug of sebaceous and dead skin material stuck in the opening of a hair follicle. If the follicle is open it is called a blackhead, if it is closed or almost closed it is called a white head.

Type 2 consists of comedones as well but also more numerous papules occurring mainly on the face. With type 2 acne there is usually mild scarring.

Type 3 acne consists of numerous comedones and papules. It usually spreads to the back, chest and shoulder and is sometimes accompanied by a cyst or nodule. With type 3 acne there is generally moderate scarring.

Type 4 acne consists of cysts invading not only the face, but neck and upper trunk as well. With type 4 there is severe scarring.

Experts can not predict which treatment will work best for which type of acne but all of them agree that cleaning your skin with a gentle cleanser morning and night will help. There are oral prescription medications available today but you may be affected by serious side effects not to mention the expense. Another alternative that seems to be having pretty good results is all-natural oral antioxidants. These are a lot less expensive than other treatments and are available without a prescription.

Secret Acne Cure Regimen Guidelines - Acne Cure and Acne Treatement - Most Fail at Treating Acne

What is a regimen? How do I get started? These are questions I hear most frequently. Well it is a secret acne cure that is a basic three step process that is combination of using inexpensive products you can buy over th counter. Most people have already experimented with over the counter products but without much success. This is when the informed people succeed and the non informed fail. It is simple while the over the counter products themselves are very important the quantity used is equally important. Also very vital to success is reducing the irritation of the skin. So when you apply the products apply them gently and leave your skin untouched the rest of the day.

So lets get started all you will need is a mild cleanser and plenty of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and a really great moisturizer go's a long way. Once you have all of the products, you will need to follow step-by-step instructions. This process is simple but incredibly effective.

This is how the process of the Regimen Works.

Step one you will need to gently wash your face. A simple gentle face wash will prepare your skin for when benzoyl peroxide is applied. Doing this is removing surface oils that will allow the benzoyl peroxide to penetrate the skin a lot easier. Washing the skin very gently will help you to avoid irritation. While most scientists and doctors do not claim to know exactly what the causes of acne are, most know that irritation by itself can make the acne a lot worse.

Step two get your 2.5% benzoyl peroxide ready. Benzoyl peroxide seems to oxygenate the skin really well. Acne and bacteria can not survive in highly oxygenated environments. Benzoyl peroxide also causes drying and peeling which research has shown to help keep the pores from clogging. With in the regimen I suggested that you will need to be using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide because research has shown it is just as effective as 5% and 10% benzoyl peroxide but causes less irritation. So keep in mind that irritation can and will aggravate your acne. I have found that using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide is extremely effective in the fight against acne. Why should you apply a lot? Research has not found any conclusive results showing why using a lot of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide is so effective although thousands of others have had great success using this regimen. The theory is simple when you are applying more peroxide we believe it allows it to penetrate deeply into the skin tissue.

Step three consists of a great moisturizer because you will be using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, most peoples skin will become dry and flaky. When you apply a good moisturizer this will help you keep your skin tissue in line and allow you to have appearance of non flaky skin.
